Fishing boats flooded near Hoenggan Island in Jeju...All crew saved.

At around 4 p.m. yesterday (1st), the 0.9-ton fishing boat A was flooded in waters 11km northeast of Hoenggan-do, Chuja-myeon, Jeju-si, and all crew members were rescued.

The ship A left Bogil Island, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do at around 7 a.m. yesterday and was fishing near Hoenggando Island, when the water filled up and reported it to the Coast Guard at around 3 p.m.

However, the Coast Guard had difficulty identifying the exact location of the ship because the location transmitter was not installed on the A.

The Coast Guard asked Captain A to send a request for rescue through the smartphone app "Harrow App" operated by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, and rescued both people on board.
