Former President Trump was once a heresy far from Washington's mainstream, but he regained the White House after four years of popularity.

On one side, he is enthusiastically supported as a "hero of marginalized Americans," while on the other side, he is criticized as the "most dangerous person in American history."

Trump was born in 1946 as the second son of a New York real estate entrepreneur.

After inheriting his father's company at the age of 25, he grew into a multi-trillion-won wealthy man and gained popularity through TV programs.

With this as a springboard, he's been knocking on politics since his fifties, running as a Republican candidate in 2016 and winning the 45th president.The slogan 'Make America Great Again'

drew a heated response from marginalized Americans in Washington.

During his four years in office, he pursued "America First" despite conflicts with traditional allies and international organizations.

This popular line has repeatedly clashed with the mainstream Republican Party as well as the Democratic Party.

He has also been criticized for growing the division of American society through constant verbal abuse, conspiracy theories, and outright racism.

In particular, he denied the results of the presidential election, which failed to regain power in 2020, providing a spark leading to an unprecedented Capitol riot.

On top of that, he was indicted on more than 90 charges for alleged sexual harassment, and some even said that it was impossible to make a comeback.

However, as a result of gradually pushing out the existing mainstream forces and taking control of the Republican Party, they won the primary election overwhelmingly.

During the presidential campaign, he overcame two assassination crises, creating a more dramatic scene.

Trump, who was confident of winning the last campaign, confirmed his re-entry to the White House at 78 this year, setting the record for the oldest president in the U.S. as of his inauguration day.
