Local parents will hold a candlelight vigil following the recent flower-wreath protest in connection with the so-called "sand school violence" incident involving the daughter of a member of Seongnam City Council in Gyeonggi Province.
According to Mom Cafe and online communities in Bundang today (7th), the candlelight vigil involving residents will be held at 6 p.m. on the 9th in front of AK Plaza in Seohyeon Station, Bundang.
At the two-hour rally, residents plan to raise their voices to root out school violence and call for the resignation of the city council member, the parents of the perpetrators.
Earlier, parents continued to protest in front of elementary schools and city councils where the "sand school violence" occurred.
According to the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, four students, including the children of City Councilman A, committed violence against student B in April-June this year by mixing snacks and sand in the park and weighing themselves or threatening them with weapons for performing game penalties.
