Worker who crashed at apartment construction site dies after 9 days

A worker who fell while working at a construction site in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, eventually died nine days after the accident.

The Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul said on the 28th of last month that a worker in his 50s, who fell to the fifth basement floor while working on the third basement floor of an apartment construction site in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, died yesterday (6th) while receiving treatment at a hospital.

Accordingly, the police and labor authorities will check the exact circumstances of the accident and investigate whether the company has properly managed safety, and review whether to apply the Occupational Negligence Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
