Thirteen medical institutions have been added to the project to reorganize senior general hospitals into treatment for severe patients.

Park Min-soo, the second vice minister of Health and Welfare, released the results of the third selection evaluation of the project to support the restructuring of a high-level general hospital today (7th).

Thirteen places, including Gangneung Asan Hospital, Konkuk University, Wonkwang University, Ewha Womans University Mok-dong, Chosun University, and Chungnam National University Hospital, have been newly selected as participants in the restructuring project.

As a result, 31 out of 47 high-level general hospitals, 65% of them, will participate in the project.

The restructuring support project aims to transform a high-level general hospital into an intensive care-oriented hospital, and to change the medical system so that mild patients can be treated by local hospitals and clinics.
