Industry Minister to "make South Korean opinion reflected in U.S. policy changes"

Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Ahn Deok-geun held a meeting with the industry after Trump's election and said he would try to fully reflect South Korea's opinions in the expected policy changes.

Minister Ahn presided over a global trade strategy meeting yesterday (7th) in Yeouido, Seoul, attended by economic organizations and industry associations.

Based on his experience in responding to various trade issues and the countermeasures reviewed by scenario, Minister Ahn stressed that he will ease uncertainty over the U.S. and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperative relations between South Korea and the U.S.

He added that close communication will ensure timely and effective consultations with the new U.S. government and key industry figures.
