Starting today, our citizens with regular passports can travel to China or visit relatives without a visa for 15 days.
Emergency passports (non-electronic passports) are not applicable to China's visa-free entry measures, and related visas must be issued when visiting China for other purposes, such as employment, coverage, study abroad, and performances.
In addition, if you stay at the residence of a relative or acquaintance without staying at a hotel, you must report 'stay registration' to the police station in your jurisdiction.
The Embassy in China announced these precautions and asked them to refrain from filming around military and security control facilities or visiting protest sites, paying attention to the recently strengthened "anti-espionage law."
Earlier on the 1st, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it would implement a "temporary visa-free policy" until December 31 next year for general passport holders in nine countries, including Korea.
Since November last year, China has announced "unilateral visa exemptions" for 29 countries.
