The production presentation of SBS' new Friday-Saturday drama "The Fiery Death II" was held at SBS in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul at 2 p.m. today (8th). Director Park Bo-ram, who directed the work, and actors Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nee, Kim Sung-kyun, Sung-joon, Seo Hyun-woo and Kim Hyung-seo attended the event.

Drama 'The Fiery Death II' is the first SBS Friday-Saturday drama and the sequel to the 2019 mega-hit movie with the highest ratings of 24%. The "Fiery Priest", loved as a genre hero, has made a comeback with a bigger scale and colorful attractions in five years.

The Second Fever Temple' depicts the struggles of Kim Hae-il (played by Kim Nam-gil), a priest who has spread across the country, and helpers who chose to go to Busan to help him. He is determined to give catharsis to viewers with a more spectacular narrative than in the previous season.

Director Park Bo-ram said, "It is a drama that viewers who watched season 1 can fully enjoy. Those who haven't watched season 1 will be able to enjoy new fun, he said, adding, "It's a delightful and pleasant drama, so please watch it a lot on Friday night."

Season 1 members, including Kim Nam-gil, Lee Ha-nee and Kim Sung-kyun, joined. Writer Park Jae-beom and director Park Bo-ram of "Deep Directing" joined forces, and Season 1 members such as Kim Won-hae, Ahn Chang-hwan, Ko Kyu-pil, Baek Ji-won, and Jeon Sung-woo also participated.

The actors who joined the second season after season 1 thanked the viewers. Lee Ha-nee said, "The support and love you sent in season 1 played a big part," and Kim Sung-kyun said, "You gave us great love, and we were able to make season 2 because we missed each other."

The three main characters of season 1 have gathered together, but the story has been changed to give it a differentiated fun from season 1. New members have also been added. Sung-jun has transformed into Kim Hong-sik, a drug gang voodoo who is the "strongest villain," Seo Hyun-woo as Nam Doo-heon, a senior prosecutor at the Busan Southern District Office, and Kim Hyung-seo as a powerful helper, Koo Ja-young, invigorating the play.

It is said that the power of the ensemble, which was well received in season 1, is used to maximize its advantages. Director Park said, "When the characters were paired up, I tried to show a comical scene. "I thought it was important to maximize that advantage and show action and comedy in an ensemble."

Finally, Kim Nam-gil said, "I'm lying if I don't have the burden of 'Fiery Death 1', but I think it's another work separately. In these frustrating times, I think it can be a pleasant comfort and a work that can make you laugh. I will visit you at 10 p.m. tonight," he said, asking for attention.
