◆ Announcer Park Gui-bin (hereinafter referred to as Park Gui-bin): It's time for an invitation to the wise radio life issue. As I mentioned earlier, Gyeonggi education is attracting the world's attention at the UNESCO Future International Forum to be held in December. Let's have a talk with Lim Tae-hee, the future of Gyeonggi education, which the world is paying attention to. Superintendent, welcome.

◇ Gyeonggi-do Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee (hereinafter referred to as Lim Tae-hee): Nice to meet you.

◆Park Gwi-bin: It's been a long time since I saw you. I think there are still many people who remember the wise school life from the wise radio life in the past.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: I think it was last February. That's right. I think that was my last appearance this year.

◆Park Gwi-bin: Since you're here, please say hello to our listeners first.

◇Im Tae-hee: Yes, the really hot heat went away, and the day quickly became chilly again. Listeners, stay healthy. I'm sure there are a lot of hard times these days in this education, but I'm doing it so that I can give you hope and hope. Please pay attention to it.

◆Park Gui-bin: I'm so glad to see you, Superintendent, and most of all, you brought very good news to our education in Gyeonggi education today. I think there will be many unfamiliar people who are unfamiliar with the future international forum of UNESCO education. Please explain in detail what kind of event this forum will be held in Gyeonggi Province next month.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: Yes, as you know, UNESCO is now an international organization under the United Nations on educational culture. So in 2021, UNESCO published a report on how education should be conducted in various environments and what the future of education should be like, and in a way, it presented a big discourse on education. After the presentation of the discourse, I had time to introduce Korea's UNESCO and our Gyeonggi-do education once while thinking about how to implement it in the field. Then, judging that this is the practice site of future education that UNESCO aims for, let's have a forum to introduce and share it to the world because Gyeonggi-do is already doing this. This is the first forum to be held now with the agenda of the report.

◆Park Gui-bin: It's very meaningful in many ways. So, it is the first time in the world that UNESCO actually holds an education forum, and the first time is where Gyeonggi-do education is introduced. Superintendent, how do you feel?

◇Im Tae-hee: At first, we usually try to host international conferences, but we just introduced ourselves and introduced ourselves that we're already doing this. UNESCO said it's a good example and we've had working-level conversations so far. This is an event that is being held now. We have some criticisms about Gyeonggi education's direction, but we can do it with more confidence and make up for the wrongs while receiving global evaluation. So, our Gyeonggi-do Office of Education members did their best to establish and promote Gyeonggi education well and to promote it to the world. I'm doing everything.

◆Park Gui-bin: I think you will prepare with a lot of pride. I know that Korea's education rate is very high and the education level is high, but on the other hand, Korea is too competitive for entrance exams. I think I had this thought about whether we are the best in the world or not. I heard that other countries do a lot of creativity education. But I guess that's not the case.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: As you pointed out now, the number one problem in our education is really a kind of test to get the answer by measuring memory and knowledge. It is pointed out that this situation in which exam preparation determines everything in education is a problem in Korea. So, education in Gyeonggi-do can really change only when college entrance exams ultimately change. So, Gyeonggi-do is also pushing for the issue of changing college entrance exams. There is probably a meeting of university presidents called the University Education Council. We are preparing to discuss it formally with you. So, as much as possible, education centered on creativity and various problem-solving skills at school and a kind of teamwork that works together is very urgent right now. So in that direction, Gyeonggi-do is doing this by changing the program and various indicators of this education in all fields of education.

◆Park Gui-bin: The event to introduce such Gyeonggi education to the world will be held in Gyeonggi-do next month, so the video of the education office is just coming up ahead of D-Day. Is that why it was the day before yesterday? I think I saw the video as well. What videos are coming up right now?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: To draw attention from our very young employees, we made hand hearts in various shapes.

◆Park Gwi-bin: The Heart Making Challenge is underway.

◇Im Tae-hee: Now I remember filming a video like that. If you look at it like this, how should I say this? While dancing together, I'm introducing it like this. Anyway, I'm continuing to upload videos focusing on the shorts that are asked to show a lot of interest.

◆Park Gui-bin: Didn't our superintendent dance among them?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: I couldn't dance and only made hearts.

◆Park Gui-bin: I think the dance would have been good, too.

◇Im Tae-hee: In my Gyeonggi education family, there is a very famous teacher named Hyun-gil. He is an incumbent education teacher, so our young employees probably did it together with students, so videos like that are coming up.

◆Park Guivin: Can you show us how you did the heart challenge? You made it by hand.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: If I make a half heart with one hand, the other person will also...

◆Park VIP: Isn't this how you make a heart like this? This is how you do it. Can you see the screen now? The screen you can see now has moved on. Anyway, this is how you make it. Everyone, I didn't practice in advance, so I didn't get it right today. There is an event to make hearts for each other, and the superintendent of education is promoting it from that point of view. If the UNESCO Education Future International Forum is important and many people have been interested, that's why I'll talk about it. Gyeonggi education is introduced to the international community. Why Do You Pay Attention to Economic Education? Why do you think the world is paying attention?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: In 2021, as I mentioned earlier, UNESCO was making a report on future education, which is called the Future of Education Report, so I did it with the subtitle of a new social reform of education for this future society. On top of that, the content should now be different from the education so far. Why aren't there really changes in civilization history now? One is the change in science and technology, and the other is no longer an era in which everything can be solved alone. So, we desperately need to solve a problem through solidarity and cooperation, and how do we realize this and what do we do in education for solidarity and cooperation? And the global problem we're facing, the global ecological risk caused by climate change. So we present this agenda there. This is now possible only when we educate ourselves on how to keep the Earth, the home of all of us, a happy environment for us to live. We're putting out such an agenda in practice, and we're already doing Gyeonggi education at school, not only at school, but also at the center of education. However, schools need to customize the needs of these various students and develop this ability to freely utilize the digital AI environment that respects individuality and changes variously so that they can adapt to the future society. Now, we are already doing Gyeonggi-do. Second, the Gyeonggi-sharing school, which aims to connect all educational competencies in the region, whether they become parents, to the education of students in our school, is a perfect educational field for solidarity and cooperation. And isn't there a variety of actions to reduce carbon in relation to this ecological environment education? By allowing individuals to check their mileage and fight over how much they have saved, Gyeonggi-do students and their educational families in Gyeonggi-do can collect all the savings into one, but it's a huge scale. Then we're preparing a system that allows companies that need carbon credits to make transactions, so that they can use it for school needs or for individuals to use it. From UNESCO's point of view, it seems that these contents were recognized as examples of Gyeonggi-do Province going first in the future of education that UNESCO really wants to go to.

◆ Park Gui-bin: So the purpose and the plans that are being carried out, including these examples of the progress of the education that we're preparing for now, will now be introduced here at the UNESCO International Forum. What do you plan to emphasize in particular?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: So, as I said just now, public education should be at the center. The school field is the center of public education anyway. So at school, if possible, there is solidarity and cooperation, and basic competencies, and many other necessary competencies for the future that have never been experienced before. Let's focus on building that basic and basic competency. However, schools have limitations in teachers, and schools have limitations in various equipment and environments, so if you turn your attention outside the school a little, there may be a lot of communities around the general society. So, we are now a shared school, an education of cooperation and solidarity that cooperates with the local community. And then, even if you're outside of school, if anyone is alienated from education, personal development and social development can actually be a big burden. If there are many people who are left out of education. So, for various reasons now, students often go out of the school system, and Gyeonggi-do has a system that allows everyone to receive education anytime, anywhere through online schools so that even those students are not alienated from this education through online sharing schools. Since we are already in the field, we will explain those parts in detail and check them out through field visits. Now that the education experts gather, we will discuss based on the results and suggest a better direction, and I think it will be a very exciting time for Gyeonggi-do Province to do so if there is anything that needs to be supplemented or revised in this discussion.

◆Park Gui-bin: These key plans that are being pursued now will be introduced to ensure that no one is marginalized by the online schools in Gyeonggi Province and schools, which are the centers of public education in schools. How many people will gather at the forum?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: We received it online autonomously this time, and there are probably about 1,000 domestic and foreign education experts attending offline because of our limited acceptance. So, about 420 people in this foreign country want to participate, and about 1,500 people in Korea want to participate, so maybe about 1,000 to a little more than that number will be the final offline participants according to various criteria, and this part will be 100% live broadcasted online. That's why anyone can also participate in this forum online.

◆Park Gui-bin: If you are curious about this and want to experience the scene yourself, there is also a way to participate. There seems to be no way for the general public to go at the moment, and you can watch the live online broadcast.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: That's right. If you participate online, you can do it as if you're almost actually participating.

◆Park Gui-bin: I think it's considerable. There is a person who asked a question saying that he is a parent of Gyeonggi-do Province. What I'm curious about is that after the UNESCO Forum, what's different about our children's education? It was a question like this.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: Rather than changing, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is now doing some internalization of school education centered on schools. AI digital personal learning devices have now been issued one by one. So using it, teachers can all take it and teach it personalized now. First of all, the school education will be firmly established, and the education that the school cannot do or want to do more, or that the school cannot do it separately or variously, is now fixing the system by recognizing credits for participating in classes on behalf of school education if the school meets certain requirements set by community personnel outside the school. Until now, all outside of school was private education, so I didn't give it to them. If we do it outside of school at the shared school, we will go one step further by acknowledging it, and if there is an online shared school, good content will probably be published in the online shared school. Then, for example, in some areas, there may be relatively weak areas. In that case, if the online school does more and the school recognizes it, I can admit that I received it on behalf of the class. So, first of all, there is a change in which the field of education, which was limited to schools, is much wider, and then our Gyeonggi-do Province, which has AI assistants that have not been done so far, is said to be high-running. We have established a system now so that parents can observe the children's kind of learning process by providing personalized classes for AI teaching and learning high-learning. So, I haven't opened it to parents yet, but if it spreads a little more in the field after the forum, parents can share their child's kind of study with the teacher and customize it. If there is a little lack of schools, you can do more at a shared school. If I dare to say this, in a way, there is a revolutionary shift in the existing public education paradigm centered on schools. Since public education extends to online and is recognized as a class just like it is at school, I can tell you that if parents are actually interested in it and participate in it a lot, children's endless talents are possible without going to private education outside of this school.

◆Park Gui-bin: You said that the contents that parents were curious about set the direction in Gyeonggi education and promoted it, which means that it will be fully introduced at the UNESCO Future Education Forum this time. What do you expect the most from holding an education forum this time?

◇ Lim Tae-hee: So, first of all, there are discussions among experts, but we visit the site where such education is actually conducted in the field. And outside the forum venue in Suwon, there is a booth outside where you can use that space to make a kind of booth and see it right away. So you can come and see it as much as you want. Then, as the education of the game changes like this, I can see that my child is now in a system where he can do what he wants using this.

◆Park Gui-bin: You can check it out, and I think many people in foreign countries want to check it out. This time, foreigners will visit 10 schools in Gyeonggi-do alone, and they received applications in advance, but all of them are sold out.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: That's right. It's sold out quickly, but in the case of foreign countries, the former Ethiopian president will come. He is now the chairman of the International Future Education Committee, and not only that, but also education ministers from various countries participate. That's why these foreign figures are also interested now, so I think parents will be able to do much better if they take this opportunity and join them. I think we can make this change a lot faster and in a better direction.

◆Park Gui-bin: That's right. It's next month. The UNESCO Future Education Forum will be held in Gyeonggi-do in December, is there a date for this?

◇Lim Tae-hee: It will be held from Dec. 2-4 next month. It will be open for three days. 3

◆Park Gui-bin: This is the first time that an international forum of the future of UNESCO will be held in Gyeonggi Province as an actual forum for the first time in the world. It will be broadcast live online, so please watch it with us. Superintendent, it's almost time, so I have to wrap it up. We kept talking about the future of education today, but time has already passed and next week is the CSAT.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: That's right. It's the 14th.

◆Park Gui-bin: Superintendent, I think it would be nice if you could give a word of support to our test takers.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: You've worked really hard, and the parents must have been very sleepy, and the teachers must have had a hard time. Since the office of education must be safe and thoroughly implemented, our office of education staff is preparing for it by staying up all night. So, as you usually prepare, I hope that the best results will come out. After the College Scholastic Ability Test, the Office of Education is preparing for various programs. So, we're preparing for each and every one of you to be happy through this education, so fighting! Parents worked really hard, so let's do our best and cheer for the students in a few days. Thank you.

◆Park Gui Bin: I hope you all cheer up. I also pray for the successful hosting of the UNESCO Education Future International Forum in Gyeonggi Province. This has been Lim Tae-hee, superintendent of Gyeonggi-do. Thank you, Superintendent.

◇ Lim Tae-hee: Yes, thank you.
