A Qantas Airlines flight that took off from Sydney Airport in Australia caused an emergency landing in 20 minutes due to an engine failure.

At around 12:30 p.m. local time today, shortly after a Qantas Airlines flight took off from Sydney Airport, a "bang" sound came from the right engine and the fuselage shook loudly.

The plane, which had a problem with its engine, made an emergency landing at the airport after circling over Sydney for 20 minutes.

When the plane made an emergency landing, a fire broke out on the runway lawn, but no connection to the accident was confirmed.

Sydney Airport operations were also disrupted at one point.

The plane in question is a 19-year-old Boeing 737-800 aircraft with an engine manufactured by a joint venture between General Electric of the United States and Safran of France.
