22 years ago, from the "prosecutor's private practice" to the "perjury teacher"...a biting trial

[Anchor] The perjury teacher case of Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party (∀} (before the first trial on the 25th) is a simple case that "Lee made a witness testify falsely."

However, the beginning of the charges is somewhat complicated by the impersonation of a prosecutor 22 years ago.

The starting point of Lee Jae-myung's alleged perjury teacher was 22 years ago.

The 2002 prosecutor impersonation case in which representative Lee was fined,
Alleged violation of the 2018 Public Official Election Act,
found not guilty,

and the perjury teacher case, which is about to be sentenced in the first trial, are all connected.

The so-called "prosecutor impersonation" incident occurred when representative Lee Jae-myung was engaged in a civic movement in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.

CEO Lee, who was working as a lawyer, was investigating the suspicion of preferential sale of the late former Seongnam Mayor Kim Byung-ryang with KBS PD Choi Chul-ho.

The main point of the case is that CEO Lee gave the name of the prosecutor and even wrote down questions so that the PD could impersonate the prosecutor and talk to former Mayor Kim.

CEO Lee claimed that he had never participated in it, and that former Mayor Kim and KBS combined to drive him as the main culprit.

However, the court refused to accept the claim, and Lee was fined 1.5 million won in December 2004.

The prosecutor impersonation case came back to the surface in 2018, 16 years later.

When a question was asked about this in a TV debate for the governor of Gyeonggi-do Province, he said that representative Lee was framed.

The prosecution saw the remarks as false and charged them with violating the Public Official Election Act.

Representative Lee, who was handed over to trial, calls Kim Jin-sung, a former secretary of the late former Seongnam Mayor Kim Byung-ryang, and asks him to testify.

I'm asking former Mayor Kim to tell me that there was an agreement to make Lee Jae-myung the main culprit instead of dropping the PD Choi's complaint, but I'll also listen to some of this.

The prosecution later put Lee on trial on charges of perjury and Kim on charges of perjury, believing that Kim's testimony had a decisive effect on Lee's final acquittal.

In this way, CEO Lee is being tried again for a case that has been tried in the past, which is tied to a series of "judicial risks" that lead to another trial.

The weight of Lee's judicial risk, who will face five trials, is expected to vary depending on the outcome of the sentence on the 25th.
