The presidential office strongly criticized the Democratic Party of Korea's push to impeach the chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, calling it an act that undermines the basis of constitutional order.

Regarding the attempts to impeach the prosecutors of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, they also pointed out that there is a political intention to paralyze the state administration.

The president's office said that the Democratic Party's push to impeach the chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection Choi Sang-sa is an act that undermines the foundation of constitutional order.

There is a political intention to paralyze the constitutional function of the Board of Audit and Inspection on the grounds that the results of the audit before the presidential residence did not come out to the taste of the opposition party.

[Jeong Hye-jeon / Spokesperson for the Presidential Office: Impeaching the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) is nothing but a "political impeachment" just because the audit results did not come out to the taste of the opposition party.]

In particular, it was based on the "political impeachment" that Choi was appointed during the Moon Jae In government.

The president's office also criticized the Democratic Party's move to impeach the prosecutor.

He pointed out that with the political intention of paralyzing the state administration, the inner part is to stop the investigation involving the opposition.

[Jeong Hye-jeon / Presidential Office Spokesperson: It can only be seen as an intention to neutralize the judicial system by impeaching the prosecutor with the aim of stopping the opposition-related investigation and trial.]

The president's office said it violated the "separation of powers" by violating the president's right to appoint candidates for the ruling party's standing special prosecution.

He also criticized the controversial bills, such as the Grain Management Act, which passed the plenary session of the National Assembly led by the opposition party, suggesting the president's right to request reconsideration, or veto.

The presidential office has raised the level of criticism of the opposition because it believes that the recent series of impeachment moves are ultimately directed at the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.

The presidential office seems to be trying to change the political atmosphere by supporting people's livelihoods, such as overcoming polarization, while confronting the opposition's impeachment offensive head on.
