The presidential office criticized the Democratic Party's plan to introduce and deal with next year's budget bill, which only reflects the opposition party's opinion on reducing the amount of money at the plenary session tomorrow (2nd), as a majority of tyranny that turned a blind eye to people's livelihoods due to a runaway in legislation.

Former spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeon said in a briefing today (1st), pointing out that it has become difficult to respond to crimes by people's livelihoods by cutting all special activities expenses of the prosecution and police.

He also stressed that there are enormous problems in maintaining the basic functions of the country, such as drastically reducing reserves to prevent immediate response to disasters and disasters in summer.

Chung also said that the budget was only reduced and not increased, making it difficult to respond to the rapid changes in the trade environment expected after the launch of the new U.S. administration.

He then criticized that the strengthening of the competitiveness of high-tech industries such as semiconductors, where international competition is intensifying, has become inevitable.

Spokesman Chung said that the budget for supporting those in need, such as small business owners and self-employed people, will not be increased, causing delays in resolving difficulties in people's livelihoods, and stressed that if the opposition party's unilateral budget cuts cause problems, it is entirely the Democratic Party's responsibility.

At the same time, he urged the Democratic Party to withdraw its handling of the budget reduction plan alone and start processing the budget agreement.

Meanwhile, a presidential office official said there would be no further negotiations without the withdrawal of the opposition's single-handed reduction budget, stressing that the future direction of response depends on the opposition's attitude.

Regarding some analysis that the government and ruling party may consider the extra budget, the official said that if there is such a reason, it is reasonable to consult with the ruling and opposition parties at the National Assembly and reflect it as much as possible in next year's budget.
