While North Korean media resumed their offensive against the South, reporting on the "December 3 emergency martial law" incident and the subsequent impeachment, North Korean defectors who watched the incident responded, "I'm surprised this happened in South Korea."
According to Yonhap News on the 11th, A, a North Korean defector in his 50s who entered South Korea more than 10 years ago, recalled the night of the 3rd, when the emergency martial law was declared, saying, "I thought North Korean troops had come down," adding, "I watched the news all night thinking this is happening in South Korea."
B, in his 30s who defected from North Korea in 2010, said, "If you don't experience the violence of the state, you can't easily see the size and fear of it. I was worried that the police and the military would be mobilized and the night curfew would stop my daily life," adding, "The fear in North Korea came to mind."
C, in his 20s, who defected from North Korea four years ago, said of the emergence of troops in the city center along with martial law, "It's something I've always seen (in North Korea), so there was no big shock."
C continued, "It was surprising that citizens grabbed and blocked the guns. If it were North Korea, I would have detained it right away, but I was surprised that the military was not as strong as I thought."
Meanwhile, the Korean Central News Agency reported today (11th) that a Yoon Suk Yeol puppet on the verge of a serious governance crisis and impeachment has turned the puppet Korean land into hell after a shocking incident in which he declared an emergency martial law unexpectedly and gave the sword of the Fasho dictatorship to the people without hesitation.
