Regarding the launch of the Emergency Security Cooperation Investigation Headquarters by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, the police, and the Ministry of National Defense, the prosecution said it would continue discussions to resolve the overlapping problem.
An official from the Supreme Prosecutors' Office told YTN that they learned of the launch of the joint investigation headquarters through the media, adding that there was no prior contact or discussion at all.
Subsequently, he said that he will continue to investigate the ongoing case at the special investigation headquarters of the prosecution's emergency martial law regardless of its status.
However, he added that he will continue to discuss with related agencies to prevent duplicate investigations.
Earlier, the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, the police, and the Ministry of National Defense said they had decided to operate a joint investigation headquarters to investigate martial law quickly and efficiently.
