■ Ministry of Strategy and Finance's latest economic trend in December, 10:00

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance announces the December issue of economic trends, the so-called Green Book.

Earlier in the November issue, the Ministry of Economy and Finance deleted the expression "signs of recovery" that had been maintained for six months.

Attention is focusing on what will be included in the government's economic diagnosis at a time when internal and external uncertainties are deepening due to sluggish domestic demand.

■ Import prices in November 1.1% ↑…Higher exchange rates rise for second month

The Bank of Korea released its export and import price index last month.The import price index rose 1.1% from October due to the impact of the

high exchange rate, continuing its second consecutive month of gains.

The export price index also rose 1.6% from October, led by petrochemical products, as the exchange rate rose.

Despite the political uncertainty, our stock market rose for three consecutive days until yesterday.

Although the increase was slightly reduced after Yoon Suk Yeol's public statement yesterday, it recovered to the 2,480 level on the back of net institutional purchases.
