U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has said the U.S. Daylight Saving Time system should be abolished.
Trump posted on his social media account, saying Republicans will do their best to eliminate daylight saving time.
Trump pointed out the reasons for abolishing Daylight Saving Time as inconvenient and nationally expensive.
The Wall Street Journal also reported earlier that the new government efficiency department, which will be established in the second Trump administration, is trying to eliminate the daylight saving time system.
Daylight Saving Time, the U.S. Daylight Saving Time system, is being implemented in all regions except Arizona and Hawaii to save energy and promote economic activity by utilizing daytime hours.
However, controversy has continued over the existence of two times every year in March and November due to the hassle of adjusting the time, social costs, and health problems caused by changes in sleep time.
