Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province Kim Dong-yeon welcomed the passing of the impeachment bill of President Yoon Suk Yeol, saying, "It has shown the world the strong resilience of Korean democracy and is the result of the proud people."

Governor Kim posted a message on social media and evaluated it like this, saying, "Impeachment is not the end, but the beginning," and emphasized, "First of all, we must immediately arrest the rebellion mob and root out the coup forces."

"We should also focus on rebuilding the collapsed economy," he said, adding that "the path to creating a completely new Republic of Korea is just beginning."
