In Shinjuku, the center of Tokyo, Japan, more than 500 Koreans held a rally calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol to watch the moment the impeachment motion was passed.
Koreans gathered at the southern exit of Shinjuku Station cheered by singing singer Kim Yeon-ja's song "Amor Party" together when the impeachment motion was passed.
Subsequently, the group Espa's song "Next Level" rang out, meaning that thorough investigation and punishment were needed beyond impeachment.
"Yoon Suk Yeol's emergency martial law is a coup caused by the inability to distinguish between the safety of individuals and the state," the rally's organizers said in a statement.
"In the name of the Korean people and in the name of the world citizens of a democratic society, we call for the resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol and his servants," he said.
