U.S. President-elect Trump faced South Korea's impeachment just before his second term in office, just as he did during his first term in office.
Attention is focusing on how Korea will resolve major economic issues between the two countries, including the Trump administration and universal tariffs, which value normal diplomacy in the leadership vacuum.
I'm correspondent Lee Seung-yoon from New York.

President-elect Trump started summit diplomacy by inviting Chinese President Xi Jinping and others to the inauguration ceremony.
[Donald Trump / U.S. President-elect: We invited a lot of people and we all accepted. (Is President Xi included?) I can't tell you, but it's a good relationship.]
Argentine President Javier Milay will meet with Trump at his inauguration to discuss pending economic issues, including negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.
Due to Trump's characteristics that values personal ties with leaders, Korea's leadership vacuum is painful.
Coincidentally, Trump, who faced South Korea's impeachment every time he took office, talked to Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn three times on the phone during the suspension of former President Park Geun Hye, but did not have a summit.
It wasn't until a new government was established in Korea that the summit took place, which was five months after Trump took office.
On the day of his inauguration, Trump pledged to impose a 10% to 20% universal tariff on goods imported into the United States from countries around the world
South Korea, which has the largest trade surplus with the U.S. in
history, is also likely to be a target, so the restoration of normal diplomacy is more urgent than ever.
Trump is also likely to repair subsidies for electric vehicles and semiconductor investment subsidies to our companies.
In response, the government is considering summit diplomacy with acting authority Han Deok-soo.
Attention is focusing on whether Han, who served as the Minister of Trade and the Ambassador to the U.S., will be able to overcome the economic turmoil between South Korea and the U.S. beyond the "temporary" limit.
