Organized by the Overseas Koreans Administration, the 2024 World Korean Association has opened at Lotte Hotel World in Jamsil, Seoul.This year's World Korean Association Conference, organized under the slogan
'Proud Koreans, Korea Together', will continue until the 4th.
A total of 420 people attended the opening ceremony held today (1st), including 50 Korean presidents from 50 countries, 350 executives from the Korean Association of Continents, and 70 key domestic and foreign figures.
Tomorrow (2nd), the day after the competition, "My Country, My Korea," which will be held with expert lectures and talk concerts, and a briefing session on support for overseas Korean groups will be held.
In addition, officials from government-related ministries, including the Ministry of Justice and the Military Manpower Administration, will attend a session to hear suggestions and opinions on civil service, legal affairs, military affairs and insurance related to overseas Koreans.
On Oct. 4, the last day of the competition, the 18th World Korean Day celebration will be held at the same place.
