In the era of 10 million elderly people, the number of cases of "old-aged care" in which the elderly take care of the elderly is increasing, but it is pointed out that related measures are still insufficient.
[Fact Tracking] According to the report, the visiting care service provided by the "Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly" is only up to four hours a day, so the family is solely responsible for the rest of the time.
In particular, elderly people who take care of sick spouses or parents at a time when they need care are complaining of economic difficulties such as care costs and deteriorating their health.
Experts, however, pointed out that the public support system, which should ease their burden, needs to be improved, such as publicity, budget, and manpower.
