2024.10.06 오후 01:10
A total of 63 fire and emergency activities were conducted in connection with the "2024 Seoul World Fireworks Festival" held in Yeouido yesterday.

Fire authorities responded by sending 335 personnel and 50 equipment to Yeouido Hangang Park and Ichon District from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. yesterday.

Fortunately, most of them were minor reports.

If you look at it specifically.

Five people who complained of headaches and abdominal pain were taken to a nearby hospital.

In addition, 57 people were treated on-site for minor scratches and dizziness.

At around 8:05 p.m., the launch pad that fired fireworks caught fire, but it did not spread around and was extinguished, causing no damage.

[Firefighting official: Fireworks launch pad, where it is believed that a fire broke out. Nothing happened there (in terms of human casualties).]

Yesterday (5th), more than 1 million people gathered around the Han River, estimated by the organizer.

Organizers put in more than 3,400 of their own safety management personnel, and there were no major accidents as police and local governments also supported them.

However, people who went to the Han River on an unauthorized raft to see the fireworks festival were rescued and handed over to the police.

Four people, including a man in his 40s, who was driving a wooden boat on the Han River between Haengju Bridge and Magok Railway Bridge in Seoul, were rescued at around 7:05 p.m. last night.

They were found to have gone out to watch the fireworks festival, and the rescue team carried out a rescue operation, believing that there is a high risk that the raft will tip over.

The fire department also handed them over to the police, believing that there were violations, such as the use of an unauthorized raft.
