In the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, it was pointed out that Dahye, the daughter of former President Moon Jae In, received excessive payments in the name of design costs in former President Moon's books.
Representative Shin Dong-wook of People's Power said that the publisher that published former President Moon's book gave 250 million won to Da-hye for design, which is hard to understand in common sense.
In response, Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "I will not actually receive that much professional designers, but since I am a daughter, I wonder if they have set it up enough," adding that he will release data later.
At the parliamentary inspection, there was also a dispute over how former President Moon's wife, Kim Jung-sook, traveled to India in 2018.
Bae Hyun-jin, a member of the People's Power, claimed that the establishment of a press center is limited under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism regulations, but 34 million won was set up as a related budget when Kim visited India.
On the other hand, Rep. Park Soo-hyun of the Democratic Party of Korea countered that Kim's visit to India was so diplomatic that a monument to the Korean War was built in New Delhi, calling it a bucket list tour would shame us.
