A fire broke out in a four-story villa in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, around 4:30 a.m. today (8th).
A man in his 50s who lived on the first floor was found dead in the fire.
Two residents living on the other floor also drank smoke while evacuating, but it was found that it was not a major injury.
Police and fire authorities believe a fire broke out on the first floor of the building, and are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
