The Korean Breed Dog Association and the National Breed Dog Merchants Association, held a rally near the Presidential Office in Yongsan, Seoul, today (8th) and condemned the government's support measures for the enforcement of the Dog Food Service Act.

They urged the government to scrap the compensation plan and guarantee profits for a certain period of time, saying that it seems to be paying a lot of compensation to the dogs.

He also said he would file a complaint with the police against Vice Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Minister Park Bum-soo, saying the government violated constitutional rights such as the freedom of career choice and the right to survive of dog farmers.

Earlier on the 26th of last month, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced a plan to pay up to 600,000 won per dog to support closure by 2027, when the grace period for punishment under the Dog Eating and Eating Act ends.
