Amid high resentment from self-employed people regarding excessive commission rates of delivery apps, the leader of the industry's No. 1 Baedal Minjok said he will closely review whether Baedal Min's terms and conditions are in accordance with Korean law.

Peter Jan Vandeffitt, interim chief executive of Woowa Brothers, made the remarks today as a witness to the parliamentary audit of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of the National Assembly's Trade, Industry and Small and Medium Venture Business Committee.

Asked by Congress that he was operating unfair terms and conditions, Vandefeet said he had already completed a legal review, but that he would carefully review the points he pointed out and reflect them.

When asked how long he would do business in Korea, he said he was well aware that in order to succeed in Korea, he should operate from a long-term perspective while closely consulting with various stakeholders.

It also declined to say whether it would be allocated to its German parent company Delivery Hero this year.

When asked if he had asked to reduce sanctions on violations of the law if he participated in win-win cooperation, Coupang Eats CEO Kim Myung-kyu said, "I didn't ask first, but because of the request for proposal, it was said that there was such a content in other laws," adding, "It was not discussed separately at the table."
