China has claimed two Philippine ships breached the South China Sea and urged an immediate end to the invasion.

"Two Philippine ships, 3001 and 3002, broke into waters near Scarborough Reef without Chinese government permission," China's Coast Guard said in a statement on the 8th local time.

"The Chinese coast guard ship tracked and monitored the entire process and took control measures according to the law," he said.

China claims 90% of the South China Sea and is at odds with the international community, including the United States, as well as Vietnam, the Philippines, and Taiwan.

In particular, tensions in the surrounding waters have risen, with the Philippines recently clashing four times since August in the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea.
