Taiwan President Lei Ching-deh stressed that the People's Republic of China has no right to represent Taiwan on the occasion of the foundation day."The Republic of China (Taiwan) is not subjugated to each other with the People's Republic of China (China)," President

Lai said in his 113th anniversary National Day speech in front of Taipei's presidential office.

"As president, we will unite the 23 million Taiwanese people and will not tolerate the invasion and annexation of national sovereignty," he said. "We will strengthen our defense and work together on a shoulder-to-shoulder basis with democratic countries to secure peace by force."

"Taiwan is moving the world with just one semiconductor," he said, adding, "We will continue to maintain our core position in the global democratic supply chain."

Earlier, President Lai said at an event related to the founding anniversary held at Taipei Arena on the 5th, "The Republic of China is 113 years old, but the People's Republic of China is only 75 years old," adding, "China is not Taiwan's motherland."

Meanwhile, former Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, who has been pro-China, held a press conference in front of the Kuomintang headquarters this morning to criticize Lai while holding a sign saying "I oppose the unconstitutional bilateral theory."
