Park Sang-kyu, president of the Korean Council for University Education, said he thinks the number of medical schools for the 2025 academic year cannot change.

Chairman Park responded to the question of Seo Ji-young, a member of the People's Power, at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Education Committee, asking if there is any change in the size of the increase in medical schools in 2025.

However, for the 2026 medical school quota, he said that if there is a social consensus, we will reflect it and announce it again at the end of May next year.

On May 30, the Daekyo Association announced a plan to implement the 2025 college entrance examination, which reflects the increase in medical schools, and the occasional recruitment began on September 9th, and medical entrance examinations began in earnest.
