Germany's beer festival Oktoberfest ended last week.

As the world's largest festival, a huge number of people flocked to drink a huge amount of beer.

Maybe because I was drunk, I lost more than 3,000 items, but I also had several wedding rings.

Reporter Kwon Young-hee reports.

A huge crowd gathered together with a glass of beer.

Oktoberfest in Germany marks its 189th anniversary this year.

6.7 million people visited and drank 7 million liters of beer.

The amount of beer sold and visitors has decreased slightly compared to last year.

With more family visitors, food sales increased by 9%.

[Clémens Baumgartner, Oktoberfest Director] It's not about the number of visitors, it's about providing quality festivals. We succeeded and we are proud of that.

Seven million beers in the festival's iconic 1-liter glass cup "Mars" have been sold.

Visitors want to secretly take the cup as a souvenir, but 98,000 of them have been recovered at the exit.

The beer sold at Oktoberfest is different from what we normally sell for festivals.

It has a higher frequency.

Perhaps that's why you often lose things.

There are 3,500 lost items that have been acquired.

I also have five lost wedding rings, but I still have two waiting for my owner.

Security has been particularly tight this year because of the attack on Zolingen in western Germany, where three people were killed in August.

For the first time in the festival's history, metal detectors have also been deployed.

[Detter Lighter, Mayor of Munich, Germany: Do not allow knives or other dangerous items to be brought in. Even more so after the Jolingen terror attacks.

Originating from 1810, Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the world.

It is held every year for about two weeks from Saturday, which returns after September 15, to the first Sunday of October.
