Convenience store company 7-Eleven receives voluntary retirement application for first time since incorporation in 1988,

Seven Eleven said in an in-house bulletin today that it is accepting voluntary retirement applications for employees over the age of 45 who have served for more than 10 years.

A 7-Eleven official explained that the company is trying to streamline its workforce structure for sustainable growth.

7-Eleven, which acquired Ministop in 2022, has been working on rebranding more than 2,600 stores in Korea and clearing out low-margin stores.

Following Lotte On and Lotte Duty Free, 7-Eleven also received voluntary retirement applications, and Lotte Group's distribution affiliates will retire three times this year alone.
