A water integration pipeline construction project jointly used by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will be promoted.

The Ministry of Strategy and Finance said Kim Beom-seok, the first vice minister, held the first expanded investment express meeting with government officials and Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix today to visit candidate sites for the high-tech system semiconductor national industrial complex in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and the construction site of the general semiconductor industrial complex in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and discuss ways to quickly create a semiconductor cluster.

At this meeting, the project to build integrated water pipes for Yongin National Industrial Complex and General Industrial Complex was discussed to reduce costs and increase water supply stability.

The National Industrial Complex and the General Industrial Complex were originally planned to build a single water pipeline, but this could lead to delays in construction along with concerns about water supply disruptions in the event of a disaster, so they decided to build an integrated pipeline that the two companies use together.

The government revised the notice on the 3rd of last month to allow the Korea Water Resources Corporation to participate as an integrated pipeline project operator to quickly build an integrated water pipeline, and voted to exempt the integrated pipeline project from preliminary feasibility studies at a Cabinet meeting on the 30th of last month.
