Prosecutors indict Yoo Si-chun, chairman of EBS, for 'suspicious misappropriation of corporate credit card'

EBS Chairman Yoo Si-chun, who is suspected of privately misappropriating business expenses, has been put on trial.

The Goyang branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office indicted Chairman Yoo without detention today (15th) on charges of professional breach of trust.

Chairman Yoo is accused of using corporate cards more than 200 times in the past five years from 2018 and spending 19 million won for personal purposes.

Earlier, the prosecution conducted a summons investigation and a search and seizure of EBS headquarters, and Chairman Yoo reportedly denied all charges.

Chairman Yoo has claimed that the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has asked the prosecution to investigate too much, saying the government is seeking to dismiss him to thin out the management of public broadcasters.
