In September, the Military Manpower Administration declared 14 towns and villages in South Gyeongsang Province and South Jeolla Province, which were recently declared special disaster areas due to torrential rain damage? If the person or family member living in the area is affected, the remaining call for military service mobilization training will be exempted and the date of fulfillment of military service will be postponed.

The Military Manpower Administration said that those who wish to be exempted or postponed can submit a "damage confirmation" issued by the head of the local government or a "damage confirmation" to the Military Manpower Administration.

However, postponement of enlistment is only possible within 60 days from the date of enlistment, and if military service obligators who have been damaged by torrential rain outside the special disaster area wish, postponement of enlistment date is possible.

The Military Manpower Administration also added that when the postponement expires, active-duty soldiers and others can join the military in the near future, and mobilization training will be converted to re-entry or non-mobilization training.
