The ruling party accused Jin Sung-joon and Kim Young-bae of "false claims to cut the free education budget."

The People's Power Legal Advisory Committee has filed a complaint with the police against Reps. Jin Sung-joon and Kim Young-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea on charges of publicizing false information under the Public Official Election Act.

The committee revealed the reason for the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's complaint, saying that they falsely indicated that the government intentionally cut the central government's budget related to free high school education.

He then pointed out that the budget cut is the issue of the National Assembly's responsibility to enact, revise, and deliberate and confirm the budget, saying that the sunset deadline for the law has reached the sunset deadline of the High School Free Education Expense Act.
