After controversy arose that Bundang Cha Hospital, an emergency medical center in the southeastern region of Gyeonggi Province, did not accept emergency patients, the government began to find out the facts.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced today (16th) that it has dispatched an investigator to Bundang Cha Hospital to confirm the facts in connection with the controversy over the attempted use of emergency room patients.

However, it is not a formal investigation stage, but after conducting a fact-finding process, a separate investigation team will be formed to conduct a full-fledged investigation when the negligence of medical staff and medical institutions is expected.

Earlier, Bundang Cha Hospital did not accept A in his 60s who visited the emergency room through 119 paramedics after showing severe convulsions on the 9th, but instead administered anticonvulsants twice and sent a patient to Yongin Severance Hospital, sparking controversy over the attempted use of emergency patients.

Bundang Cha Hospital reportedly explained that the patient, who was supposed to go to Yongin Severance Hospital, came to the hospital in a hurry because his condition worsened, and that behind-the-scenes treatment such as neurology was not possible, and that it only took emergency measures.
