The Seoul Metropolitan Government conducted a large-scale disaster response training in the Dongdaemun Design Plaza area under the assumption of a large fire.
The training was conducted by transporting several casualties during the rescue process and checking the response system to classify emergency patients according to severity, when a fire broke out during a fashion show or event officials and visitors were unable to evacuate due to smoke and power outages.
Mayor Oh Se-hoon, who visited the site, communicated with the situation room of the City Hall Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters through video conference and discussed countermeasures in real time.
More than 1,000 people, including 600 citizens and foreigners, participated in the training, and more than 60 equipment such as fire trucks, police patrol cars, communication recovery cars, and drones and life-saving dogs were mobilized.
