Today's Steering Committee's State Audit... Prospects for 'Presidential Transcript' Collision

2024.11.01 AM 12:01
The National Assembly Steering Committee will conduct a parliamentary audit of the Presidential Secretariat, the National Security Office, and the Presidential Security Service today (1st).

In the parliamentary inspection, the ruling and opposition parties are expected to fight over whether the "suspected nomination intervention" raised by the release of the recording of the phone call between President Yoon Suk Yeol and Myung Tae-kyun yesterday is illegal.

Chief of Staff Chung Jin-suk and other secretaries will attend the presidential office, and Kang Hye-kyung, who raised suspicions about nomination intervention, will also appear at the National Assembly.

The Democratic Party demanded the attendance of Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the related allegations, but Myung submitted a statement of reason for his absence, stating health reasons.
