After the Gangwon Office of Education declared the effectiveness of the collective agreement signed with the Gangwon branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers' Union, a physical conflict occurred amid the conflict between the two sides.

Superintendent Shin Kyung-ho, who visited Yangyang High School in Gangwon Province at around 7:30 p.m. yesterday (31st) to encourage students who are about to take the CSAT, received a protest from members of the KTU who were waiting for an interview related to the effectiveness of the collective agreement.

In the process, a physical fight broke out with Superintendent Shin's group and members, and Superintendent Shin woke up after falling and losing consciousness for five minutes and was taken to a nearby hospital for examination and treatment.

In response, the Gangwon branch of the KTU said that an official from the education office pushed down the new sense of education during a confrontation between the two sides, and in the process, three members who were asking for an interview also fell down and complained of back pain and concussion symptoms.

Regarding the clash, the Gangwon Office of Education said Superintendent Shin injured his head and tailbone due to the members' armed protest and is considering additional measures such as complaints and accusations, and the KTU also explained that it is preparing legal action.

Earlier, the Gangwon Provincial Office of Education declared that it would no longer follow the collective agreement because it was not possible to conduct academic assessments, various competitions, and commendations to the superintendent of education for all students in Gangwon Province.

In response, the KTU criticized the unilateral notice of the effectiveness of the collective agreement, saying that it is an act of deceiving teachers, and that Superintendent Shin, who is on trial for illegal campaigns and prior bribery, is trying to overcome his political position.
