More than 200mm of water bombs poured into Jeju-si and Seongsan-eup on Jeju Island yesterday (1st), recording the highest rainfall ever as of November.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said the daily precipitation in Jeju and Seongsan, where the observatory is located, was 238.4mm in Jeju and 242.1mm in Seongsan, the highest since the regional observation.
In particular, the daily precipitation in the Jeju area was recorded as the highest rainfall in November in 101 years since 1923 when observation began,
The unusual November downpour in Jeju and Seongsan was analyzed to be the frequency of precipitation that can fall once in 200 years.
In addition, 350mm of heavy rain fell around the azalea field between the 1st, 2nd, and 2nd in mountainous areas with topographical factors.
