It is an apartment in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
At around 2 p.m. yesterday (1st), the son of an elderly man who lived in this apartment, A in his 40s, came to the police station saying, "I hid the fact that my father died."
The freezer found in the apartment contained the body of a man in his 70s wrapped in plastic.According to the reverse tracking of the father of
A, there has been no activity since September last year.
Assuming that his father died around this time, A hid his father's body in a freezer for more than a year.
As for my father, other family members recently reported him missing.
Mr. A, who turned himself in with a lawyer, stated that his father usually lived alone and had to hide his death because of property problems.
Although the body was found, it is still unknown when and how Mr. A's father died.
[Apartment security guard] I think I heard that I have a lot of money. Why does he die when he lives alone?]
The police first booked Mr. A on charges of concealing the body, investigated him once, and returned him home.
We will also ask the National Forensic Service to conduct an autopsy to find out how A's father died.
