Chu met with members of Daegu's Seo-gu district and said that the Democratic Party of Korea has made every effort to save Lee ahead of the two sentences of Lee Jae-myung this month.
Lee then went to the by-election immediately after losing to President Yoon in the last presidential election to avoid arrest and accused him of using the National Assembly for his bulletproofness.
Emphasizing that the regime was created with overwhelming support from party members, he urged the people to unite as they will change harder.
