When suspicions arose that the 23rd term of "I'm Solo" Jung-sook was involved in theft crimes in the past, she refuted this.
After Jung-sook appeared in the 23rd episode of SBS Plus/ENA's "I Am Solo" on the 30th of last month, online claims were raised that she was a suspect in a special theft case that occurred in 2011.
Netizens saw a photo released by Jung-sook introducing her history of winning the Miss Korea preliminary round and pointed out that she was the same person as the Miss Korea winner reported in the news as a suspect in the past special theft case.
As the controversy grew, the production team of "I Am Solo" decided to publish an apology and edit Jung-sook's appearance.
However, recently, Jung-sook denied the allegations through JTBC's 'Case Team Leader'. "I've never harmed anyone by committing a criminal offense," Jung-sook said, refuting, "Who says I did a special theft?"
When the "case leader" said, "A lot of articles were reported at the time of the incident," Jung-sook said, "We are working with a lawyer to remove the source of proof of non-return and non-prosecution," and added, "We are thinking about which channel to use to be effective."
In response to the controversial beauty pageant photo, Jung-sook claimed, "The photo was stolen."
Regarding allegations that he committed fraud by receiving joint purchase payments in the United States and not giving goods to customers, he claimed, "It was a crime caused by someone stealing a passport and was terminated without charge."
According to past news reports, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul arrested A and B, who helped him escape, on March 15, 2011, on special theft charges for stealing 3 million won by stealing money while a man was taking a shower under the guise of a conditional meeting.
It was investigated that A posted a post on the chat site, "I will arrange a conditional meeting with the flight attendant," luring male victims, stealing money and goods, and fleeing with B. It has been confirmed that A won the Miss Korea regional qualifiers twice in 2009 and 2010.
