Another dolphin caught in a lung net was found in Jeju.
The Jeju National University Whale and Marine Life Conservation Center and 'Docu Jeju' found a dolphin caught in a waste net yesterday afternoon (4th) off the coast of Gujwa-eup, Jeju-si.The dolphin
is a large individual, and it has been confirmed that the 60cm-long waste net on the tail does not have seaweed, so it is active.
Jeju director Oh Seung-mok said that if foreign substances occur in the waste net in the future, dolphins may experience inconvenience in movement, so continuous observation is needed.
At the same time, he emphasized that recently, sea turtles that have died in the sea of Jeju have also been frequently seen, making it more difficult for marine life to live in the sea of Jeju.
