A night-time search is underway to find 12 missing people from the Geumseong ship that sank in Jeju.
The Coast Guard is continuing its search by deploying more than 50 ships and five aircraft, including navy and civilian fishing boats, and firing 230 flare rounds.Two of the 15 people rescued after the
accident were killed and 10 Koreans and two Indonesians were missing.
The Venus, carrying 27 sailors, sank at around 4:30 a.m. today (8th) while transporting catch in waters 24 kilometers northwest of Biyangdo Island on Jeju Island.
