Following last week, the Democratic Party of Korea held an outdoor rally calling for the independent counsel of Kim Gun-hee.

After Yoon Suk Yeol's press conference, the need for an independent counsel has increased, and he has repeatedly said he plans to continue the public opinion race before the third special counsel law is passed.

The Democratic Party of Korea continued its outdoor rally condemning President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee following last week.

Four opposition parties, including the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, excluding the New Reform Party, participated in the rally held at the same place, following the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and opposition civic groups.

The Democratic Party's leadership said that President Yoon's public statement was a declaration of war that he would not be investigated no matter how illegal he committed, and rather, the need for a special prosecution has grown.

Representative Lee Jae-myung also stressed that the war operation should be stopped immediately and that if power is used precariously on the people, they should be held accountable.

The
Democratic Party refrained from mentioning impeachment at the party level again this time out of concern for headwinds, but other opposition parties poured out more high-level remarks.

The Democratic Party plans to continue public opinion battles inside and outside the National Assembly, including outdoor rallies over the weekend and sit-ins on weekdays, until the National Assembly's plenary session, scheduled for the 14th, passes the Special Prosecutor Act.

He said he would also push for a third outdoor rally with opposition parties next weekend, signaling that he would raise the level further if President Yoon vetoes it again.

However, as the time of the outdoor rally coincides with Lee's first trial of the election law on the 15th, the confrontation with the ruling party, which is the "powerless demonstration" for Lee's bulletproof body, is expected to intensify.
