Industry Minister "Reviewing Incentives for Reforming the Petrochemical Industry's Policy Finance and Business"

Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Ahn Deok-geun said he is considering incentives to support policy financing and induce business restructuring to strengthen the petrochemical industry's competitiveness.

Ahn said at a plenary session of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts that the government will jointly create and announce measures to strengthen competitiveness early next month in preparation for difficulties in the petrochemical industry due to greenhouse gas reduction policies.

Minister Ahn added that he will provide incentives for business reorganization that will increase competitiveness in the mid- to long-term as well as short-term policy financial support.
