Lee Jae-myung said, "Police will change the behavior of 'the club of power'..."The budget review should be reflected"

2024.11.13 AM 10:54
Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the police, who are called "people's sticks," for becoming "a club of power" and wielding them toward the people.

Lee made the remarks at the Supreme Council over allegations that the police cracked down hard on participants at a rally in downtown Seoul last weekend hosted by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.

He then stressed that he could never forgive the act of insensitivity to protecting the lives and safety of the people and suppressing the exercise of legitimate sovereignty to defend the regime.

Representative Lee pointed out that the police do too many things that should not be done to escort power, and that this should be clearly reflected in the budget review process.
