An explosion killed one person near Brazil's Supreme Court.
At around 7:30 p.m. local time on the 13th, an explosive device exploded near the Supreme Court in Brasilia, Brazil's capital.
Police said a man was found dead in a square across from the courthouse, but the man was not identified.
The Supreme Court issued a press release explaining that Supreme Court justices and staff had safely escaped the building.
The first explosion occurred in a parking lot adjacent to the courthouse, and local broadcasters reported the explosion occurred in the trunk of a parked car.
Local media also reported that a second explosion was heard 20 seconds apart.
Police have blocked all access to the Supreme Court, Congress and the area where the presidential palace is located.
